The 9 Zombie Score Patterns

The Zombie Score maps three tensions every person navigates: Presence vs Pace, Balcony vs Dance Floor, and Margin vs Momentum. Which pole you lean toward in each one produces nine patterns. None of them is the right answer. Each has a gift and a cost.

How the nine patterns are built

Presence ↔ Pace

Being here vs. Building something. The moment in front of you vs. the momentum underneath you.

Balcony ↔ Dance Floor

Seeing the system from above vs. Feeling it from inside. The aerial view vs. the lived experience.

Margin ↔ Momentum

Space for surprise vs. The engine that compounds. The garden vs. the treadmill when it's working.

Eight patterns come from the eight combinations of leaning one way or the other in each of the three tensions. The ninth, The Compass, is what you get when you do not lean strongly in any of them.

All nine patterns

The Lighthouse

You illuminate everything around you. You're present, you see clearly, and there's room to breathe. The question is — when do you leave the rock and get in the boat?

Presence · Balcony · Margin

The Captain

You're here, you can see the whole board, and the engine is running. The people in your life are lucky — if you don't forget to come downstairs.

Presence · Balcony · Momentum

The Gardener

You're here, you're in it, and there's room to grow. The soil is rich. The question is what you'll plant.

Presence · Dance Floor · Margin

The Anchor

You're here, you're in it, and you're not going anywhere. The people around you feel held. That's your superpower — and your weight.

Presence · Dance Floor · Momentum

The Navigator

You see the map, you're moving fast, and you've got room to adjust course. Just make sure the people in your life aren't feeling like waypoints.

Pace · Balcony · Margin

The Phantom

Everyone would describe you as impressive. The people closest to you would describe you as busy. Both are true — and only one of them matters at 10pm.

Pace · Balcony · Momentum

The Explorer

You're fast, you're in it, and you've got room to roam. Life is an adventure. Just make sure someone's tending the base camp.

Pace · Dance Floor · Margin

The Sprinter

You're not lazy. You're not lost. You're going somewhere that matters — and you're running so fast you can't see what you're passing.

Pace · Dance Floor · Momentum

The Compass

You know where the poles are and you navigate between them. That's not the finish line — it's the starting point for your next season.
